Today very little has come in. The big story so far is Rick Nash has a sprained ankle and will miss the next 2-3 weeks. He should be good to go by Oct. 5, but could miss a game or two. I am hearing it will be another two weeks before the Datsyuk situation is resolved.
Though a lot of people are claiming Cooke is really close to re-signing in Vancouver, I've heard a rumour from three sources (one of them being a strong source) that the Canucks have offered Cooke and a pick to Chicago for Arnason. Boston has signed goaltender Thomas to a one year contract. Raycroft and Boynton are still nowhere close to new deals. Hockeybuzz.com launches today. Hockeybuzz is Eklunds new site, and should be lots of fun. It costs money (I've an Insider and have been signed up for months), but his fantasy league and other features sound awesome.
