Wow, it took awhile, but there are no longer any undefeated teams in the NHL. Nashville falls to 8-0-1 after loosing 3-2 in OT, after charging back to score in the final minute of the third to tie the game. Adam Foote gets the game winner for the Blue Jackets, who pick up just their third win of the season.
Martin Gerber won his second straight game, as the Hurricanes beat the Bruins 4-3 in OT. Matt Cullen had two goals, including the game winner, while Eric Staal and Aaron Ward had two assists each. Leetch had two goals for the Bruins, while Boyes had two assists.
Lots of games still in progress. Jeff Freisen finally has scored his first goal of the season, and the Caps currently lead the Sabres 3-2 in the third period. Eminger has two assists. Ovechkin has one assist.
Tampa Bay currently leads New Jersey 4-3 in the third period. Richards and Modin each have two points for the Bolts, while Langdenbruner leads the Devils with two points. Brodeur is in net tonight, and has yet to sit out a game thus far. Look for him to get some rest this weekend.
Dallas leads San Jose 3-2 midway through the second period. San Jose's goaltending problems continue, as Toskala has been pulled by the Sharks and replaced with Schaefer. This is likely due to Toskala's performance, as he allowed 3 goals on 10 shots.
Calgary visits Anaheim starting at 10:30. Thats all for now, see you tomorrow (unless I win the $40 million lottery, then you may not see me for awhile.
