Well, finally, after a few days off, I have returned. Thanks to all the comments and emails wishing me a quick return, I feel better, though I'm not done seeing doctors just yet. Who cares about me though, lets get to some hockey!
The Pens lose another game in Overtime. Weiss scored his first goal of the season 53 seconds into the fourth period, as the Panthers win 4-3. Pittsburgh has now lost nine in a row, which means a coaching change could be on the way...
Kovalchuk scored twice, but it wasn't enough, as the Islanders beat the Thrashers 4-3. Zhitnick, Yashin and Satan all had two points a piece. The Thrashers are still desperately awaiting the return of Dunham and Lehtonen.
Mike Ribeiro tied it in the third, and won it in Overtime, as the Habs beat the Flyers 3-2. Handzus and Richards both had two points for the Flyers, and Savage scored his first as a Flyer. Plekanek added two assists for the Habs.
Vancouver beat the Wild 3-1 tonight. Auld improves to 3-0, and looks ready to steal Cloutier's starting job. Naslund scored his seventh goal of the season in this game, while Vancouver improves to 8-1-1.
Still some games going on. Nashville will stay unbeaten unless something horrific happens to them. They lead Chicago 5-2. Kariya and Erat each have a goal and an assist for the Preds, while Keith has two assists for the Blackhawks.
The Oilers and Avs are tied at 0's after one period of play, while the Blues and Coyotes are also scoreless, this one is in the first period. The Kings play host to the Ducks at 10:30 PM EST.
Too early to name a player of the night, but I'm going to guess it'll be someone from Phoenix. That game is going to be a dandy, so if you get it, watch it. Check the blog tomorrow, I've got a few good rumours that I will clarify later tonight and post tomorrow morning. Enjoy!
