Well... Buffalo must have been cringing tonight... lets just say, they got served. And as much as I hate to say it, it was by those blasted Sens. 10 - 4, the final... and kicking to a different tune, Marty Havlat made his return, in a HUGE way, by potting 4 goals. you'd think this would make him the player of the night (which hasn't been named in a few nights...) however! Public enemy number one in Leaf-land, Daniel Alfredsson not only potted 4 goals as well, but added 2 helpers. Not forgotten in all this, Jason Spezza, and his 4 assists. Wow.
It's being reported that Oilers GM Kevin Lowe was present at this game, to get a look at Mika Noronen, AND Martin Biron, both of which played. Biron was yanked after 6 goals. So, we may see how this plays out, perhaps within the next few days, weeks, or maybe not at all. In this NHL, we never know.
In a battle of Central Division Bottom Feeders, The Hawks took the Blues 6-5 in OT. Craig Anderson, with the win in net for the Hawks. Scott Young led the game with points, with a goal and 3 assists for the Blues.
Down Hollywood way (ok, they WERE the visiting team), the surprising Kings were victorious over the Stars of Dallas, 6-3. Kings defenseman Lubomir Vishnovsky led the way with the trick for the Kings.
As I write this, the Canucks continue their dominance at home, with a 2-1 lead over the Wild, at the end of the second period. And finally, mid-way through the second, the Preds lead the Sharks 2-1.
The only rumor to pass along, is a somewhat old one, M-A Fleury to St. Louis, for Lalime as well as a package. Personally, I don't believe this rumor at all, since Fleury is only 20, and leads the next wave of great french-canadian goaltenders, and Lalime... well... he's Patrick Lalime... but wierder things have happened.
Thats all for now folks.
