Aah, some good games tonight, lets have a quick look, shall we?
Detroit, over division rivals Chicago, 4-1, Jason William with a goal and assist for the Wings. Manny Legace left the game with, what is being called a 'slight knee sprain' at the end of the first, and will have precautionary x-rays done tomorrow.
Shawn Bates scored in overtime, to give the Islanders a 4-3 win over the Bruins. Satan, and Niinimaa both with 2 points for the Isles.
Also in Overtime, the Pens beat the Brodeur-less Devils, 4-3. Sergei Gonchar with the winner in this one.
A third game in OT, the Habs take the Cats, 5-4. Michael Ryder with the Winner. Stephen Weiss with a pair for the Panthers.
Out West, both teams in the grand provence of Alberta were victorious tonight, with Edmonton taking Columbus 5-1, with Ales Hemsky with the deuce. Rick Nash returned in that one for the Jackets. Further south in Alberta, the Wild were handed a 3-0 defeat at the hands of the Flames. Jerome Iginla led the way with two goals, Dion Phaneuf with a Goal and assist, and Daymond Langkow, with two assists.
Finally, mid-way through the second, Nashville and Anaheim are tied 1-1 in Paul Kariya's first trip to Anaheim as a member of the Preds. And, as I write this, Anaheim has just scored, putting them up 2-1.
