Goals, Goals and More Goals

Lets get right to tonight's action. Toronto vs. Atlanta was crazy, with so many goals and so much fighting. I'm not going to get into the brawl, I'm just going to see that the attempted elbow on Lindros was disgusting, and Sutton should get suspended for his hit on Tucker. Tucker and Lindros got the last laugh though, as the Leafs won 9-1. A big night for a lot of Leafs. O'Neill had three goals and an assist, Tucker had a goal and three assists, as did Allison. Wellwood scored a goal and an assist, while McCabe had four assists. Lindros, Steen and Ponikarovsky also scored for Toronto. Savard had Atlanta's only goal, Kovalchuk is still pointless this season.

Pittsburgh lost in Overtime for the fourth time this season. Philly beat them 6-5 in OT. Gagne led the way for the Flyers, who had two goals and two assists. Forsberg had four assists. On Pittsburgh's side, Lemieux had two assists, Crosby had a goal and an assist, and Ric Jackman had two assists.

Vancouver got some revenge on Minnesota, beating them 5-3. Naslund had two points, and Park had three, including two assists. Chicago beat Colorado 3-2 in a shootout. Liles had two points for the Avs, while Ruutu scored the shootout winner, while also adding a regulation assist.

In a rivalry going back years, Dallas beat Edmonton 3-2. Guerin had two points for the Stars, while Stoll had two points for the Oilers. Conklin was pulled in this game after allowing 2 goals in 7 shots. One game still going on tonight, and thats Columbus at Anaheim. The Ducks lead 2-1. Moen and Lupul have Anaheim's goal, while Hrdina scored for the Blue Jackets. Edit : Berard just scored, 2-2 tie in the third.

Tonight's player of the night goes to Jeff O'Neill, who scored his third career hat trick. Runners up go to Darcy Tucker, who got four points, and got his face busted open, Jason Allison, who had three assists and probably the goal of the night, and Peter Forsberg, who still hasn't scored, but added four assists. Gagne is close too, with his two goals and two assists.

Finally, email me at cjohnson202@hockeyleaks.com for all questions. I still want one of those mini-stanley cups from opening night, so if anyone has any extra's maybe we can work something out? Hockeyleaks.com for all the latest. The next blog probably won't be until around 6 pm tomorrow, as I will be away most of the day. Enjoy your Saturday!
