Player Of The Night Goes To...

A look at last night's two late games. Steve Sullivan had three points, and Kariya had two as the Predators beat the Coyotes in a shootout. Paul Kariya was once again the difference in the shootout. Nashville improves to 4-0 on the season. Mason got his first win of the season.

Shanahan, Maltby, Franzen, Zetterberg and Fischer all scored for Detroit, as they beat LA 5-2. Detroit scored twice into an empty net. Roenick and Avery scored for LA, who fall to 3-2. The Wings improve to 4-1. For those who read last nights blog, just to update you, I did win my proline ticket! I'm going to start having a player of the night for each night. Last night's player of the night? It's a tough one, but I will have to go with Mike Modano, who assisted on all three Dallas goals. Steve Sullivan is the runner up, who scored twice and added an assist for the Preds. Sullivan now takes over the NHL points lead with 9 points in four games.

Few rumours this morning. Apparently Buffalo isn't planning on moving a goalie. However, it seems the Jeff Jillson may be moved by the Sabres. Several teams would have interest in this defenseman. I also forgot to mention yesterday that Luongo was pulled by Florida during the second period. I am not sure whether he is injured or was just struggling, but when your goalie allows three goals in four games, you can't pull him when he allows 3 goals on 15 shots. That doesn't send him the right message.

The site is all updated, including the PowerPlay Fantasy League standings. The NHL standings and stats are the only things not updated, but they will be later today. I'll post a much larger blog later on tonight. Enjoy your Friday!
