More Of Me?

We'll get to that title in a little bit, but first, I want to talk about tonight's games, because there were a few dandys! Lets start in Carolina, where Staal and the Hurricanes beat up on the lowly Capitals, who have allowed 26 goals in their first five games. Staal had a goal and three assists for the Canes, which puts his at 8 points on the season, good enough for a share of the points lead with Atlanta's Marc Savard. Ovechkin and Zubrus scored for the Caps.

Jose Theodore is back! Wait a second, that wasn't Theodore....Jan Danis started in goal for Montreal tonight, and got his first career shutout against the offense powerhouse Thrashers, who welcomed Ilya Kovalchuk back. Bulis and Koivu scored for the Thrashers. Bad news for the Thrashers, as Mike Dunham left this game with a groin injury. This leaves third string goalie Micheal Garnett as the starting goalie until one of Dunham and Lehtonen return. Garnett did play well tonight, allowing one goal on thirty shots.

Vancouver had a rough night tonight, getting beat up by Minnesota. The final score in this one was 6-0. Randy Robitaille had two points for the Wild, who were once again without Gaborik. Gaborik's return has been pushed back until next week. Roloson picked up the shutout in this game.

Two games currently in progress. Colorado currently leads Nashville 4-3. Svatos scored his 5th of the season in this one, while Konawalchuk, Sauer, and Liles also have goals for the Avs. Hordichuk, Zidlicky and Kariya have goals for the Preds, who were 2-0 going into this one. This one is in the third period. Wait, as I'm typing this Nashville has tied it up, thanks to Steve Sullivan. Kariya's assist on the goals gives him his second point of the night. 12:03 remaining in the third period.

The other game in progress is Columbus at San Jose. The Sharks currently lead 2-0, thanks to goals by Sturm and Primeau. This one is still in the first period.

Ok, to the title! First, I will be writing a weekly column for http://www.lifeofsports.com. This is a really great site that has a lot of fantasy games, as well as articles written by all sorts of people, including actual athletes from the MLB and other major leagues. I sent my first article to them, and I'll post a link to it when it's up. It will be the same as my hockeyleaks article this week, but starting next week they will be separate. Speaking of my article, my power rankings and article are both done, as is the fantasy page update, but they won't be posted until tomorrow.

On another note, I had a phone conversation with Eklund on Monday, and I will be writing a blog for him starting soon (within the next month or so). He also links to us at hockeybuzz.com now. We're hoping to work on a bigger project soon as well, so keep checking the blog and hockeyleaks.com for any news regarding that. Both of these new jobs for myself will hopefully give hockeyleaks more exposure, which will be better for all of us.

Thats all for now, if you want to contact me, it's cjohnson202@hockeyleaks.com. Updated Powerplay Fantasy League stats should be up in the next few days, so check for them. My article is about the 5 unluckiest people in the NHL thus far, so make sure you check that out tomorrow! Enjoy whats left of your night!
